Many citizens in Bethlehem are not educated very well so there are schools that the young citizens of today will become our educated citizens of tomorrow. Education for boys and girls are very different to each gender,males between 5-18 were taught by Rabbis in a Synagogue.
Young females would be taught the basics by their mothers and other women.
